Starting outside the Peppers Silo Hotel, the Half Marathon kicks off with a fast, flat stretch down Lindsay Street. Runners will complete a short loop through the Invermay streets before heading onto the West Tamar Highway. After reaching the turnaround point just before the Tailrace at 5km, the course returns to the East Tamar Highway, where participants merge with the 10km route.
At the furthest point of the course (14.3km), runners turn for home and are rewarded with a slight downhill run. With the breeze at your back and the finish line in sight, the course leads you all the way down Gleadow St to a spectacular new finish on Kings Wharf Road, nestled along the scenic banks of the Tamar River.
In 2026, the event will once again hold a World Athletics Elite Label.
Bag drop will be available at the event precinct. Please attach your security bag tag, which is a tear off from your race bib to attach to your belongings.
All finishers will receive a medal, bottle of Hartz water and piece of fruit.
To assist you in achieving your personal best, pace setters will be provided by the Tasmanian Road Runners Angels. Each pace setter will be holding a coloured flag and will wear an identifiable singlet.
